Brand Photography Session with Lindsay Lucas
This was one of those rare sessions where we traveled outside of Houston for a brand photography session. I used to travel for sessions all of the time back in my wedding photography days, but now that we have a Houston photography studio where we welcome so many of our clients, we tend to stay inside the loop for work!
Lindsay is a powerhouse. I’ve known her for years, and watched from the sidelines as her career has bloomed into the beautiful masterpiece that it is today. Lindsay is a venue consultant, helping wedding venues across the country to develop, plan, and build wedding venues for owners who need guidance. She’s the brains behind a team that leads venue owners through a more-than-likely first time navigating the ins and outs of owning, legalizing, operating, and profiting, as a space where weddings and events are held.
Lindsay was doing a complete overhaul of her website, and knew she needed new brand photos. She wanted them to speak to the niche of venues that she works with the most, so where better to have her session than at one of the venues she consults for?
Her mood board featured fashion forward wardrobe with hints of western details to complement the venue we were photographing her session. Along with a brand guide, fonts, a logo, and overall website design that looks like it belongs to Yellowstone, her session was a unique one that I was so excited to capture. Take a peek below to see what the final results were.
Lindsay’s session was a blast. We wandered the property of Lazy S Hacienda in Weatherford, Texas and fully utilized the different spaces they had to offer. Meeting rooms, bridal getting-ready spaces, the barn, and even the brush near their horse pasture; everything was fair game! Jen Trotter got her all dolled up so that no matter which of the fabulous outfit she was wearing, it looked amazing.
If you’re a wedding industry pro and are in need of photos at a venue, we would be so willing to do something like this again. It was such a refreshing day outside of the studio, and we loved being able to work with Lindsay to create on-brand and striking portraits for her fabulous new website.
